Mechanism of Action (MoA)

SIMScells offers its users different possibilities to explore a mechanism of action (MoA) depending on what they are searching for and depending on how much time and money they want to spend:

  •  MoA Report: a report showing the molecular mechanism which links your chosen modifications in a biological system (stimuli) with its responses. As SIMScells mimics your model in thousands of virtual individuals and finds all the possible molecular explanations for your stimuli-responses pairs, the report shows you the most relevant ones (clustered according to their core components), as well as the global, averaged MoA representation. An Example of MoA Report is available for you to download.

You can refer to the Mechanism of Action information in the Methodology section for a more detailed explanation of the methods behind this report.

You can access the information of the MoA report in different degrees:

    •  MoA Report Free Preview: a partial version of the report, showing only some of the results of your experiment. It is an opportunity for you to test free of charge SIMScells' capability to help you. You can then purchase a full report, or keep testing SIMScells with other experiments.
    •  Complete MoA Report: full version of the report showing all the information coded in the preview report and containing links to the options of increasing the time of calculation, correcting the mechanisms according to you scientific knowledge and extending your analyses.
    •  Visualization tool: After receiving your results in a MoA Report, you may order a new MoA Report customizing the visualization of your SIMScells experiment, with the aim of testing hypothesis or filtering your results according to your knowledge.
      • - monitoring the presence of your proteins/genes of interest in the MoA representation; and/or
      • - selecting the subpopulation of solutions that fit your unpublished knowledge or hypotheses and that you want to view and analyse.
  • MoA Extended Report: after receiving either the MoA default or customized Report, you can choose one of the possible (cluster or global) MoAs to validate in your wet lab. To speed this validation process, we offer you our MoA Extended Report, a compilation of:
    • expanded data about the proteins/genes involved in the MoA
    • bibliographic information
    • biological and clinical research tools lists (commercial antibodies, biochemical assays, blood tests...) associated with your specific MoA

MoA Extended Reports are an alternative to a manual retrieval of a large amount of data, helping you to save time and money. A MoA Extended Report example is available for you to download.

  • economical costs

Buying a SIMScells' Extended Report is much cheaper than manually retrieving the information included in it.

(1) Cost of manual information retrieval by a US Life Sciences senior researcher with a mean wage (according to the US Congressional Research Service), and according to our estimation of the required amount of time.

(2) Price of an Extended Report inside a 10-Report Package

  • You can access the information of the MoA Extended report in different degrees:

    •  MoA Extended Report Free Preview: a partial version of the report, showing general validation information. It is an opportunity for you to test at no charge SIMScells' capability to help you. You can then purchase a full report, or keep testing SIMScells with other experiments.
    •  Complete MoA Extended Report: full version of the report showing all the information coded in the preview report and containing complete validation information.
  • Anaxomics consulting services: ANAXOMICS team has long-time experience in the fields of systems biology, drug development and biomedical research. If you need assessment in the interpretation of the results, you can contract our services to filter or validate your results using bibliographical sources, validate the links of the MoA and help you discover new exploitation possibilities for your results.
